Tasting notes
After a year of fermentation, the golden 2013 Pinot Gris Clos Windsbuhl is drier than usual (only 10 grams of sweetness but 14.5% of alcohol), and offers a very intense, overripe and dried fruit aroma along with smoky mineral notes, quince confiture, Schwarzbrot and honey flavors. Full-bodied, fresh and powerful on the palate, this is a very rich and complex yet precise and mineral wine, with a stunning freshness and a lingering salinity. The finish is quite sappy and round, and the aftertaste very intense. The wine is quite accessible but can age for 15 years. Enjoy, but don't drive!
