Such a gorgeous nose! Takes the rich, baked-apple fruit of Chenin and combines it with toast and mushroom notes on the palate. Clean and dry and lengthy with delicious, savoury, yeasty character to finish. Delicate fizz. (RH)

Lovely honey scent with vibrant green apple and vivid citric acidity on the palate. Good biscuit autolysis character, leaving a persistent mealy note on the finish. (RH)
Apple and pear freshness on the nose. Not bone dry but dry-tasting. Intense creamy quince. Some cedar and creaminess on the palate. Light mousse. Incredibly long and rich in sour-fresh fruit. I would love to taste this in five or even 10 years. (JH)
From younger vines, the straw-yellow colored 2010 Vouvray Pétillant Brut offers a very clear and delicate, yet concentrated and chalky flavored bouquet of stone fruits, quinces and lemon. Round, light and refined on the palate, this is a deliciously fruity, well-structured and very satisfying sparkling wine with a good length and a nicely chalky texture. A serious Prosecco killer. The wine was bottled in September 2011 and disgorged after three years sur latte.
