"Lovely pale pink – typical Provence. Cool crushed fruit on the nose with strawberries and a mineral lift. This is going to be lovely. In the mouth this has a lifted minerality with citrus fruit and a crisp, almost perfect finish. Very, very drinkable. A bottle will not be enough. Perfect summer drinking. Excellent."

The finest rosé yet from this estate (the wine is made by the top notch team at Chateau Beaucastel), the light pink colored 2014 Cotes de Provence Rose sports a fresh and lively bouquet of wild strawberries, raspberries and white flowers to go with a supple, lightly textured, silky and seamless feel on the palate. About as gulp-able and hard to resist as they come, it's a killer rosé to drink over the coming 6-8 months.

Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Rolle. RS <2 g/l. Very pale pink. Light, refreshing, focused nose with some smoky notes. Good, pretty fruit on the mid palate. Pretty modern with freshness uppermost but it shouldn’t fall apart too soon, even if it may never be exceptionally subtle. (JR)

Vivid salmon-skin color. Fresh, incisive aromas of orange zest, redcurrant and white flowers, with hints of honey and lavender in the background. Silky and light on its feet, offering intense red berry and citrus fruit flavors that deepen and spread out with air. Packs a solid punch but comes off as lithe and precise, with excellent finishing cut and floral persistence. Put aside the celebrity cachet of this wine and judge it for what it is: an outstanding, classically built Provençal rosé that happens to be made by the highly esteemed Perrin family of Châteauneuf-du-Pape's Château de Beaucastel, who are joint partners with estate owners Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in this ambitious and deadly serious venture.
