Clean and fresh. All here. Pretty much flawless at this level. Very drinkable. Excellent. Joss Fowler, FINE+RARE, April 2015.

The 2014 Lacoste-Borie was showing a little earthiness on the nose, perhaps not quite as pure and as defined as I would have been hoping. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannin, grainy in texture with brambly red fruit laced with baking powder and white pepper towards what feels like a light finish. I must admit that given the barrel showing, I was hoping for more from this.
Effectively the second wine of Ch Grand-Puy-Lacoste. Very bright healthy crimson. Neat, quite intense, very classic Pauillac even if clearly not from the very top drawer. Lovely vigour and transparency even if quite forward. GV (JR)
