Tasting notes
The 2014 La Gurgue has a forward and quite generous bouquet, soft brambly red berry fruit, touches of pencil box and burning embers. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded, slightly honeyed (in terms of texture) entry. It is a pretty wine, albeit one that is missing a little persistence in the mouth. It kind of vanishes all too soon.

The 2014 La Gurgue is bold, powerful and delicious. Succulent red cherry, plum, tobacco, smoke, dried flowers and licorice add character. Plush and inviting, but with a good backbone of tannin and acidity, the 2014 will drink well for a number of years.
