Tasting notes
Bright and pure, with a racy beam of cherry and raspberry fruit, lined with subtle spice and floral hints. The finish is discreet, exhibiting a long, filigreed minerality that plays out nicely-you just have to pay attention or you'll miss it.—J.M. Wine Spectator, April 2015.

This shows wonderful cool fruits with a deep palate and velvety tannins. Really pretty. Tight and full of potential. We will see if it’s better than 2012. James Suckling. April, 2015.
A stunning, breathtaking wine, the 2014 Clos Fourtet is without question one of the stars of the vintage. Deep yet also wonderfully nuanced, it exudes energy and transparency. Enticing scents of violet, lavender, mint and chalk add to the wine's chiseled personality. The 2014 has gained considerable depth, volume and intensity since I tasted it from barrel as a young wine, but without losing its intensely mineral, understated personality. Today, it is exceptionally beautiful in every way. The blend is 89 % Merlot, 7 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 4 % Cabernet Franc. Tasted three times. Feb 2017, www.vinous.com, Drink: 2020-2039
The 2014 Clos Fourtet has developed a very perfumed bouquet with pure black cherry, raspberry and mineral aromas that seem very precise and relatively sophisticated compared to its Saint Emilion peers. The palate is medium-bodied with supple red cherry and cranberry fruit, the tannins both fine but firm. This is a supremely well-focused Clos Fourtet, perhaps one that shows more restraint than previous vintages, yet there is genuine focus and intensity towards the almost piercing finish with vivid black, mineral-soaked fruit. This is a superb Clos Fourtet that transcends the promise from barrel. Mar 2017, www.robertparker.com
