The 2014 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc has light greenish tints in the glass. The nose is actually similar to the bottle tasted in 2018 (sprightly yellow fruit, lemon rind and pine nuts), which is well-defined and vigorous. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with a taut line of acidity that lends plenty of freshness and tension. There's just a touch of lemon rind and lime toward the finish, with a little more oiliness on the aftertaste than before. This is definitely worth seeking out. Tasted at Bordeaux Index's 10-Year-On tasting.

Great to see a 10 year old Pessac white at the tasting, and Malartic Lagravière is doing the heavy lifting of proving how well these wines can age. Wax, citrus peel, lemon zest, white flowers, juicy finish. 50% new oak.

The 2014 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc has an attractive bouquet with scents of lemon rind, yellow flowers and pine kernels. The oak is neatly integrated here. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity and a brisk, saline finish. This shows great potential, to drink now if you are inclined, or tuck away for several years. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.

The 2014 Malartic-Lagraviere Blanc fulfils its potential that it showed in barrel. It has a well-defined and mineral-driven bouquet with light granitic aromas, a touch of sunflower seed and citrus peel. The palate is very well balanced with beautiful citrus fruit laced with nectarine, white peach and apricot. It feels very harmonious in the mouth, long and persistent, the aftertaste delivering a dash of spice that will put a smile on your face and leave you reaching for another sip of this excellent Pessac-Léognan Blanc.
