Tasting notes
The 2013 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières has a superb nose that reflects the terroir with style, really getting to the mineralité of the vineyard. The nose is defined with well-judged acidity: a bead of citric acidity with a very subtle, minerally finish. As I remarked to Nicolas Potel: "This might very well be your best wine in 2013."

His first ever Perrières. ‘They called me and said I could have two barrels. I was very happy.’ Dense and rich. Very savoury and for the future. (JR)
About the producer

Nicolas Potel is one of Burgundy’s most talented and connected winemakers. He created Maison Roche de Bellene, the négoce arm of Domaine de Bellene, in 2008, using his extensive network in the region to source top-quality fruit for an "haute couture" négociant operation.
