Score 92/100 · Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Mar 2016
This wine presents a bold and enriched personality. The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva opens to soft aromas of dark cherry and blackberry preserves with ample spice, tobacco and leather at the back. The transitions are smooth and velvety. Those same descriptors can be applied to the wine's texture that is similarly fine and approachable. This Brunello shows mild tannins and powerful alcohol at 15.5%.

Concentrated ruby with orange tinges. Initially a tiny bit grubby/reductive on the nose. Intense, ripe palate that lacks a little in definition. Rich, bitter tannic finish, but it is all a little too ripe. Jan 2015, www.jancisrobinson.com, Drink: 2014-2018
