Score 84-86/100 · Drink 2014-2021, Robert Parker, Aug 2014
A one-dimensional, medium-bodied effort with decent fruit, licorice, herbs and spice, the 2013 Lafleur-Gazin is not terribly interesting, but it will offer pleasant drinking over the next 6-7 years.

Satisfyingly complete on the nose – ripe black fruit, leather, cedar and bitter chocolate. A good brush of tannin on the finish, all in balance. Very nicely done. (RH)

Crushed flowers, sweet red berries and spices are some of the notes that emerge from the 2013 Lafleur-Gazin. A soft, graceful wine, the 2013 possesses good overall balance, but only modest depth, something that is quite evident on the finish, where the drying tannins are pronounced.
