Tasting notes
Fragrant cherry fruit and something slightly menthol/herbal. A little cedary. Chewy and yet full of energy. Big wall of fine tannin on the finish, needing lots of time.

The 2010 Barolo Cannubi sends a slightly muffled message with various contrasting layers of fruit, spice, cola and dried herb that will soon reach a more satisfying equilibrium. The mouthfeel is on the sharp and raw side with tight tannins that show the astringent side of the generally genteel Cannubi cru.
Barolo. Just mid ruby with broad orange-tinged rim. A little dusty with hints of sweet fruit. Embryonic sweet juicy palate, with a chewy texture and with a lovely elegant palate weight. Still needs to open up. (WS)
