Score 91/100 · Drink 2019-2033, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2015

Tasted blind at Fine & Rare Wines' Clos Vougeot tasting, the 2013 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru from Michel Gros has a detailed, bright, lucid bouquet with pretty red cherry and strawberry aromas intertwined with fine mineral notes. The palate is crisp and fresh with well integrated oak that is conspicuous at the moment, but should be subsumed with bottle age. This is nicely balanced and feels elegant and poised towards the finish. There is a good Clos Vougeot here, though it should be afforded 3-5 years in bottle.

Tasted blind. Mid crimson. Bitter cherries on the nose and then lots of grenadine fruit on the palate. Not the most integrated whole but the ingredients are there and reasonably respectable. Just not that intense. (JR)
