Pale yellow. Reticent aromas of underripe pineapple, honey and minerals. Concentrated and clean but quite silky and plush for young Clos; also conveys a late-harvest impression. Finishes sweet and a bit warm. This wine seemed fresher a year ago.

This nose covers all bases – peach, leaf, mineral etc – just as Les Clos should. On the palate, this is chaotic and infantile – again, as it should be at this stage. Lots going on. Exciting stuff. (AH)
