Tasting notes
Most of the fruit came from within 15 minutes by tractor of the winery though there were apparently 107 different ingredients in the blend! Pungent green, fresh nose that smells like classic Marlborough. (JR)

the 2014 Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough is intensely scented of gooseberries, elderflower and fresh lemon with hints of white asparagus and sage. Medium-bodied, it fills the mouth with vibrant vegetal and citrus notes held up by a lively acid backbone and good long finish.
Herbal and pungent, with a sort of saline, iodine character – reminds me a bit of some single match scotch, in fact. Wet hay too. This is certainly complex, and better than the 2013, for sure. (RH)
Strong asparagus, citrus and passion fruit on the nose. Archetypal Marlborough SB and still flying the flag with bullish enthusiasm. There is, however, a bit of a hole in the middle and it comes to a bit of an abrupt finish – as though it had suddenly run out of juice. I wouldn't pay that price. (TC)
