Tasting notes
Good full, deep red-ruby. Superripe aromas of black cherry and blueberry, complicated by torrefaction notes of licorice, coffee and mocha. Superconcentrated, lush and sweet; chewy, layered and mouthfilling without coming across as heavy. In comparison to the young 2006, this has nicely integrated its stems, not to mention its licorice, fresh herb and bitter chocolate components. Finishes with superb length.

Very intense crimson, sweet and juicy. Fine tannins on the finish. Chewy, juicy. Quite good but slightly soulless. (JR)
Good bright ruby-red color. Sappy black cherry, pungent spices and minerals on the nose; less herbal than the 2004. Concentrated and rather powerful on the palate, with penetrating flavors of black raspberry and kirsch; at once sappy and liqueur-like. Finishes with huge but sweet tannins and excellent length. Impressive.
