Score 88/100 · Drink 2005-2012, Daniel Thomases, Wine Advocate, Aug 2005

Brezza’s recent acquisition of a piece of the famous Cannubi vineyard has given it a larger lineup of wines. Cannubi’s soil is sandy, and the vines tend to suffer some stress in hot and dry vintages such as 2000, something which is felt in the 2000 Barolo Cannubi, with earthy cherry aromas and a soft body. The wine is fresh, but shorter than usual and already rather ready. Drink: 2005-2012. Importer: Admiralty Beverage Co., Portland, OR; tel. (503) 289-9600
