Tasting notes
The 2006 Barolo Boscareto is marked by fierce tannins that aren't likely to ever integrate. I imagine this powerful, unyielding Barolo spent too much time in oak. It is hard to see the 2006 ever being in balance.

Piemonte. Total skin contact of two months. Medium deep ruby with orange tinges. Complex, with real depth. Hints of prune and cherry. Very fine, muscular tannin. Still quite unapproachable. (WS)
Mid ruby. Very volatile! But with some autumnal delights and an interesting tension between the ripe fruit and the edgy structure of the wine. Some slightly green notes on the finish. No shortage of tension! (JR)
