The 2011 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes comes from 70-year-old vines that Jean-Marc confesses do not possess the ideal location within the climat. It is very harmonious on the nose although it does not possess the intellect of Clos des Boucheres. The palate is showing a little reduction at the moment although there is good weight in the mouth, but it declines to demonstrate as much complexity on the finish as I would have hoped.
