Tasting notes
The 2004 Bricco Manzoni is lacking depth, fruit and overall complexity. Now that the intensity has faded, all that is left are hard, unyielding tannins.

The 2004 Barolo Ciabot Manzoni presents a weightier expression of dark fruit, spices, mocha, chocolate and sweet toasted oak. With air, mentholated notes develop in the glass adding further complexity.

Good saturated red with ruby tones. Classic ripe nebbiolo aromas of strawberry, mocha, truffle and brown spices. Rich, broad and sweet, with mouthfilling flavors of plum, menthol and brown spices framed but not dominated by spicy oak. Finishes with major dusty tannins and lingering notes of tar and licorice. Very Barolo!
