Lovely aromas of toasted hazelnut and pencil shavings are beautifully balanced by ripe peach and citrus fruit. The 2012 Coddington Chardonnay is medium to full-bodied, with a luscious, silky texture in the mouth and a long, silky finish. Just terrific.

The 2012 Coddington Chardonnay has a concentrated bouquet of white peach, citrus peel and light petrolly aromas. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, the candied orange peel and apricot notes dallying with peach and brioche . There is very fine weight and persistence on the finish. Perfect to drink now, but it will keep. Tasted at the Kumeu River Chardonnay vertical in London.
Open and fresh. Very well mannered and well balanced and attractive even if not dramatic. (JR)
