Tasting notes
(30% new oak; 100% destemmed) Good full red. Enticing aromas of brown spices, flowers and herbs. Broad and opulent but with very good acidity for the year. The flavors of red berries, spices and peppery herbs are sweetened by the wine's oak element. Finishes with firm, slightly drying tannins.

Good deep red. Sexy aromas of black cherry, flowers and spicy oak; quite expressive today. Flavors of cherry, spices and smoked meat boast lovely intensity and volume, not to mention sweetness. Tightens up on the back, finishing a bit youthfully tough but long.
Peppery and restrained. Even a little herbal though fully ripe. Fresh and lively in the mouth though not yet expressive. Dry, tight finish. (JH)
