Tasting notes
The 2013 Nuits St. Georges Blanc Clos des Grandes Vignes is striking in its beauty. A bevy of yellow stone fruit and tropical-inflected notes are pushed forward in this decidedly voluptuous, intense white Nuits. Pear, spice and honeysuckle notes follow, adding further complexity as the wine continues to flesh out in the glass. Liger-Belair's white Clos des Grandes Vignes is coming along very nicely.

Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Chateau de Vosne. The 2013 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Grandes Vignes has developed an attractive bouquet with scents of orange blossom, tangerine and a touch of vanilla pod. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, slightly waxy in texture with pine kernels interlacing the finish. This is a fine Nuits Saint Georges Blanc that I would broach in its youth, unless you are really curious. Tasted June 2015. Jul 2015, www.robertparker.com
