Score 93/100 · Drink 2005-2015, Robert Parker, Oct 2005

A combination of 70% Shiraz, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Merlot aged 18 months in wood (15% new), the 2002 Keyneton Estate boasts impressive intensity, richness, concentration, and aromatics (black currants, licorice, earthy spice, and a hint of wood). A beauty, with a meatiness to its richness and intensity, it should drink well for a decade or more. Importer: Negociants, USA, Napa CA; tel. (707) 259-0993

(a blend of 72%shiraz , 20% cabernet sauvignon and 8% merlot) Medium ruby. Cool, restrained aromas of cherry, redcurrant, licorice and graphite, with hints of tobacco and oak spice. Weighty and fat, but the dark cherry, plum, cassis and fruitcake flavors are firmed by juicy acidity, giving the wine nice grip. Finishes clean, brisk and bright, with supple tannins. This gained complexity with aeration.
