Lots of ripe fruit, with dried berry, strawberry, blackberry and asphalt. It\'s full-bodied, soft and velvety-textured with a long, intense finish. Very rich and powerful. Goes on and on.

The 2011 Barbera d'Asti Bricco dell'Uccellone wraps around the palate with layers of expressive blue/black fruits, sweet spices, French oak and lavender. This is an especially perfumed, silky, voluptuous Bricco dell'Uccellone. Ideally, the 2011 is best left alone for a few years, which should allow more complexity to develop in bottle. Today, the style is a bit over the top, even within the context of this famous Barbera.
