Score 91/100 · Drink 2018-2040, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Nov 2015

From a classic vintage with high levels of malic acid, the 2007 Vouvray Clos du Bourg Moelleux does not show any primary fruit aromas that the 2008s still deliver, but is also far away from being matured. This in-between wine needs a little bit of time in the glass to reveal its minerally flavored dried fruit and lemon aromas. Rather subtle and pure than rich and intense is also the motto on the palate, which is elegant, well balanced, and slightly sweet and mineral in the finish. This wine remains discreet and does not explode or flow generously over the palate, but reveals a nice finesse and elegance. The finish shows a good grip and purity, and again is slightly drying and by far not as round as in 2009 or 2008. This wine will hardly improve over the years but certainly change.
