Tasting Notes
The 2012 Volnay 1er Cru Les Fremiets has an attractive bouquet with scents of blackberry, briary and a touch of tea leaf. It is not a powerful set of aromatics, but it is very well-defined and fresh. The palate is medium-bodied with quite pointed acidity. The fruit is black rather than red, with bilberry and blackcurrant notes, a touch of bitter cherry towards the linear and slightly austere finish. Drink this fine Fremiets over the next 8-12 years. Drink 2015-2024. Jun 2014, www.robertparker.com
