Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Château de Vosne. The 2012 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Reignots is initially a little disjointed, but it does not take much aeration in the glass for it to coalesce and reveal a beautiful nose of red berry fruit tinged with Lapsang Souchang. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, ripe red berry fruit and superbly judged acidity. There is an effortless nature of this Aux Reignots that just glides across the mouth and lingers temptingly.
