Score 99/100 · Drink 2035-2070, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Jan 2015

More bright in color than the Turmberg TBA, the 2013 Kiedrich Gräfenberg Trockenbeerenauslese offers higher-toned fruit aromas on the very clear, amazingly subtle and mineral-scented nose that indicates a unique transparency, finesse and freshness. On the tongue this oily-textured wine is enormously rich, sweet and dense but also fascinatingly piquant, full of finesse and elegance. This is not only a perfect TBA from the Gräfenberg but also demonstrates the potential of the 2013 vintage with its vibrant acidity and almost incredible potential to reflect origin even in sweet wines like this in a highly precise way. I say incredible because it seems impossible to balance analytic figures like this: 199° Oechsle transformed into 268 grams per liter of residual sugar, 10.4 grams per liter of acidity and 7.5% of alcohol.
