Tasting notes
Dark, mineral and savoury on the nose. This is firmly structured on the palate but nevertheless has an approachability to it. A serious wine for long term ageing.

Mid crimson. Full of pleasure. Really spreads laterally on the nose – you really could call this a bouquet! Sweet and lively with massive energy. Dusty rose petals on the end. Very firm structure. A long-term wine with masses of energy. (JR)
The 2010 Barolo Mosconi has a broader, flatter aromatic quality with an elegant bouquet derived from mineral-rich limestone soils. This vineyard was purchased in 2009. What sets the Barolo Mosconi apart is the tannic structure of wine that really takes its up a notch in terms of strength, muscle and endurance. You can almost feel it snap in the mouth and the wine will endure in time. Drink: 2017-2035. Importer: Indigenous Selections, Fort Lauderdale, FL; tel. (954) 530-4021
Monforte d’Alba. Mid ruby with orange tinges. Modern fruit and oak nose. Hints of dried cherry. Still quite compact and tense on the finish. Great tannic structure and balance. (WS)
