The 2003 Old Vine Grenache Blewitt Springs Vineyard hails from a hot dry year in 2003, and the wine leads with black fruit, meat, cherries, licorice and star anise. It is fresh, with loads of primary fruit still available, alongside more tertiary notes of black olive tapenade and biltong. The magnum format no doubt enhances the freshness of the wine, but still, it is wearing the years with grace. Sealed under natural cork, poured from magnum.

Bright cherry and roses with lots of ripe fruit and nice acidity. Great balance and smooth in the mouth. Very clean fruit.
The exotic, full-throttle, high velocity, mouth-staining, unctuously textured, dense ruby/purple-hued 2003 Grenache Old Vines Blewitt Springs is classic southern Australian Grenache.
