Score 92-94/100 · Drink 2006-2011, Pierre Rovani, Feb 2004

Fresh pears, apples, and white peaches are found in the nose of the outstanding 2002 Batard-Montrachet. This beautifully ripe, rich, plush, satiny-textured wine coats the taster’s palate with red currants, pears, apples, and a panoply of spices. It is well-balanced, deep, and has an admirably long, supple finish. Drink it between 2006 and 2011. Importer: Frederick Wildman & Sons, New York, NY; tel. (212) 355-0700
