Pale yellow-straw. Musky, deeply pitched nose shows citrus and mineral elements. Enters the mouth sweet, but racy acidity and solid underlying minerality give shape and energy to the stone fruit and spice flavors. There's a bit of meaty reduction here, which I take as a positive sign for the likely evolution of this wine. A serious grand cru that needs some time.

Scented and relatively deep flavoured. No magic but great competence. Very clean and only slightly lean. Long.  (JR)

Pale yellow. Rather laid-back aromas of lemon and nut oil. Tactile and concentrated but rather youthfully backward, with excellent juicy acidity restraining the wine's sweetness. More classic in style than the Bienvenue but this will require a few years in bottle to express itself.
