Score 86/100 · Drink 2000-2010, Robert Parker, Dec 2000
Readers wanting a jolt of blatant toasty oak with straightforward flavors reminiscent of cherry syrup, coffee, and herbs might appreciate this wine more than I. It is medium-bodied, monolithic, and best drunk over the next 8-10 years. Regarding the points/power ratio, I am reminded of an old retailer's sarcastic sales slogan - "Why pay less?" Tel.
