2011 Pommard Jarollieres

Very dark ruby-red. The black fruit and chocolate aromas show an almost liqueur-like ripeness. Dense, concentrated and sweet, with a sappy quality to the black fruit flavors and a meaty element emerging with air. Finishes with sweet, firm tannins that turned a bit tougher with aeration, but this rather powerful wine appears to have the plush, ripe mid-palate flesh to support its spine.
