Barolo, La Morra. Very deep ruby with small orange rim. Meaty and savoury nose followed by a sweet ripe strawberry fruit palate. Fine palate weight too. Undeniably ripe, but on the right side of rich and bolstered by lots of grainy tannin. (WS)

Deep, dark, bright red. Wild plum, smoked meat, tobacco, truffle, mocha and leather on the expressive nose. Silky, sweet and thick, but with nicely integrated acidity giving shape to this very ripe wine. Finishes with dusty, slightly granular tannins and good lift.
