Score 90/100 · Drink 1990-2005, Robert Parker, Jan 1990
The Pommard-Grand Clos des Epenots is extremely concentrated with a dazzling bouquet of plums, chocolate, cedar, and spicy new oak. On the palate, the wine exhibits superb concentration, an old-vine intensity, and plenty of alcohol and tannin in the finish. Approachable now, one suspects this wine will merit an even higher score with 3-4 years of aging. It has the potential to last for 10-15 years.
