Tasting notes
Medium bright red. Musky aromas of cherry, chocolate, herbs, menthol and underbrush. Then fat, round and a bit low-toned, with good sweetness but modest complexity to the supple middle palate; still a bit youthfully tight. Finishes with dusty tannins. This gained in perfume with aeration.

Bright medium red. Pungent strawberry, minerals and crushed stone on the nose. Juicy, spicy and firm; less round than the Charmes and in a distinctly tighter style. Finishes a bit clenched, with a hint of dryness. This, too, will get an early bottling, and I wonder how long it will retain its fruit.
Bright crimson. Very fresh and direct though pretty chewy. More user-friendly than most. (JR)
