Score 86/100 · Drink 2003-2012, Robert Parker, Apr 2001

This is a medium-bodied, straightforward effort offering up scents of earth, ripe black cherries, dried Provencal herbs, and new wood. A lean, austere finish kept my score low. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2012.

Medium ruby-red. Black cherry, game and truffle on the nose. Lush, smooth and sweet in the mouth; consistent and nicely balanced. Rather gentle for the vintage. Finishes with notes of black cherry and mint.
