Score 92/100 · Drink 2000-2008, Pierre Rovani, Oct 2000
The 1994 Clos de Vougeot has amber throughout its otherwise light mahogany-colored robe. Its spicy aromas are followed by a delicious, silky-textured, medium-to-full-bodied core of kirsch, black raspberries, and spices. Pinot Noirs often send mixed signals, and this one did with its evolved color and aromatics. Its character is still quite youthful, with fresh fruits and a solid structure. Anticipated maturity: now-2008.
