Tasting notes
Clear, deep, complex, fresh, and mineral on the nose with lemon, floral (blossom) and some caramel flavors; it is very fresh and subtle. Clear and mineral on the palate, incredibly fresh and vital, the 2007 Riesling Clos Ste Hune reveals great purity, finesse, and a lingering salty finish with a lot of tension and a very good grip. Really stimulating. A great dry Riesling.

Very pale greenish straw. Classic middle-aged fine Alsace Riesling nose. Bone dry but with excellent spread of ripe fruit across the palate. No petrol. Very fresh and firm. Just ready to drink. Both steely and juicy – quite a feat. Very fine. But still youthful. (JR)
Pale lemon colour. More fragile than the 2009. Still a bit nervy – it lacks some of the purity of some of the finest vintages. (JR)
Trimbach’s 2007 Riesling Clos Sainte Hune, one of my personal favorites, is a great wine to kick off the night. Endowed with total symmetry and a seamless personality, the 2007 is fat, rich and explosive from the very first taste. Bright citrus, white flowers and mint notes emerge from the glass, but the 2007 needs to lose some of its baby fat before it starts to shine. Today it is very pretty, but also quite young.
