(4.81 acidity!): Bright pale yellow. White peach, citrus peel and powdered stone on the nose. Densely packed, supple and elegant, with a silky texture and terrific inner-mouth perfume to the brisk lemon, lime and mineral flavors. I love the combination of racy acidity and 13.5% alcohol. Most impressive on the rich, rising finish. From soil based on in red clay.

Bright pale color. Fresh mango, cherry-almond and spicy oak on the slightly exotic nose. Then firm-edged and penetrating, with lovely richness but a light touch to the exotic fruit and grapefruit flavors. A nicely weightless premier cru with a long, tight back end. (The rather bracing Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru was too reduced and metallic to judge.)
