(99% syrah and 1% viognier; 50% new oak): Inky purple. Intense aromas and flavors of cassis, boysenberry, cola and spicecake, with vanilla and mocha overtones. Lush but focused, with an alluring sweetness and firm mineral spine. Becomes spicier with air and finishes with excellent clarity, lift and gentle tannic grip.

95% Syrah, 5% Viognier. Scented and seductive on the nose. Spreads right across the palate. Lovely complete wine. Quite forward but very pleasing. Strong liquorice notes. (JR)
