Tasting notes
Pure, steely aromas of peach and orange. Concentrated, sweet and sappy; riper and more pliant than Boillot's other two village offerings in 2002. This is really impressively structured, juicy and long for village wine.

The 2002 Puligny-Montrachet, an outstanding village wine, exhibits smoke and lily aromas. Light to medium-bodied, focused and pure, this satiny-textured gem has fabulous concentration and depth. Its refined yet powerfully mineral personality lingers in a lengthy, soft finish. Drink it over the next 5 years. Importer: Vineyard Brands, Birmingham, AL; tel. (205) 980-8802
Full and smoky and tense. Dry and minerally. Great combination of tightness, tautness, and richness. Really exciting. Not that expensive for the quality. (JR)
