Subtle vanillin oak complements peach and flowers on the nose. Sweeter and richer in the mouth than the village Chassagne, with sound natural acidity framing the peach and mineral flavors. Less herbal than the Chassagne. Finishes with very good length and grip.

This too displays a gentle touch of wood that highlights a completely different nose featuring elegant floral and spiced pear aromas that precede the textured, even opulent flavors that retain a good sense of precision on the citrus-infused finish. This is solidly complex and I like the backend vibrancy.

(nine batches of wine assembled in stainless steel tank) Pale color. Richer and more deeply pitched on the nose than the Chassagne villages: peach, smoke and crushed stone. Rich and fat, but given cut by firm, even slightly tart-edged acidity. Not yet harmonious, but then this was racked ten days before I tasted it.
