Deep red-ruby. Sappy, pure aromas and flavors of redcurrant, spices, flowers and licorice. Suave, rich and layered, with terrific energy and chewy depth. A wonderfully rich Burgundy with a very strong, rising finish. The tannins are fully buffered by fruit.

**Note: 50 year old vines** A wonderfully fragrant nose of violets and beautifully complex red and black fruit aromas gives way to rich, full, sweet and generous flavors that possess excellent detail on the layered but presently austere but explosive and stone-infused finish that goes on and on. A really lovely effort built on a base of minerality perfect balance. A classic Vosne built to age.
Good deep red-ruby. Distinctly blacker fruits on the nose than the Brulees, with notes of violet and minerals: this is Vosne-Romanee! Precise and penetrating, with terrific cut to the flavors of dark berries, bitter chocolate, licorice and minerals. This is Richebourg-like in its sappiness and its combination of power and finesse. Finishes very long, with firm but suave tannins. Offers terrific potential.
