Tasting notes
This highly complex effort has evolved perfectly with a delicate and mature nose that makes one think of the sea shore with background hints of flowers and citrus. The precise and pure medium-bodied flavors are equally delicate and fine while brimming with an intense minerality and beautiful acid/fruit balance. This is crafted in an understated style with simply wonderful transparency and the mouth feel is pure silk.

So different from the Montée de Tonnerre. Bright, heading towards orange though only just. Also a slight briney note and light honey. Complex and very hard to describe a all the flavours are so elusive. Less concentrated on the mid palate than the Montée de Tonnerre but long and sustained, leaving a spicy aftertaste. Maybe not quite as refined or long but still pretty persistent (all relative). (JH)
( this holding features the estate oldest average age of vines) Superripe aromas of apple and baking spices. Sweet, spicy and savory; broad and sexy. A lovely mouthful of chewy fruit. Finishes with excellent length. I'd hold off on this bottle for four or five years.
