Tasting notes
Round, sweet and enveloping, the 2011 Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes wraps around the palate with notable grace. Freshly cut roses, licorice, mint and sweet red berries all linger on the soft, silky finish. The Chaumes is a model of pure sensuality and polish. There is so much to like here.

(vinified with 18% whole clusters): Good medium red. Slightly high-toned aromas of raspberry, mint and pepper. Then dry, broad and laid-back, but with enticing mineral tang. Finishes classically dry and vibrant. The crop level here was just 28 hectoliters per hectare, noted Liger-Belair.
