Tasting notes
Good deep red. Ripe, complex, slightly reduced aromas of plum, currant, cherry and smoke. Silky and vibrant, with lovely lift to the flavors of red fruits and dried rose. Finishes very long and bright, but distinctly firmer than the preceding village wines. This seems to be shutting down in bottle today.

Good deep red. Sexy, deep nose offers strawberry, Oriental spices, flowers and underbrush; this could only be Burgundy! Full, dense and sweet but with lovely sap and energy. This is vinified in tiny wood vats, and Liger-Belair told me that he has gotten better fermentations since 2004 thanks to longer cuvaisons A premier cru from the foot of the hillside.
