Tasting notes
The 2008 Pian del Ciampolo conquers the palate with beautiful, intensely perfumed red cherries. The finish is long, understated and impeccably pure, with a final fragrant note that adds lift and finesse. This is a relatively lithe Pian del Ciampolo. Readers in search of a fine Sangiovese-based wine will find much to admire. Pian del Ciampolo is predominantly Sangiovese with a dash of Canaiolo and Colorino.
