Score 89/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound

Here the nose is quite densely fruited with its aromas of black cherry, violets and cassis. There is a lovely sense of vibrancy to the velvety and concentrated flavors that exude a fine minerality on the firmly structured and intense finish that displays fine depth and length. In the same fashion as the Monthelie there is a hint of dryness that detracts mildly from the overall sense of balance but this too is really very good. Tasted: Apr 15, 2014. Drink: 2019+
